WORKSHOP ON AUTISM IN BANGLADESH

AFA conducted a 4-day training workshop at PROYASH, a school for special needs children, run by the Bangladesh Army at Bogra, Bangladesh. The training was done to train the professionals working with children at PROYASH. Topics that were covered included understanding Children with Autism, using physical structure, schedule, work system and Behavior Management Techniques to teach individual with Autism, hands on training on how to conduct assessment and make IEP and set up a structured teaching classroom.
The team from AFA also helped in setting up structured teaching classroom and execute the activities with the children. The final day of the workshop was an interactive session with the parents of children with Autism.
