QUIET HOUR AT BIG BAZAAR

What a day!
Big Bazaar - Future Retail organized a Quiet Hour event for individuals with intellectual disabilities in 16 cities across India. In Delhi, the event was held at Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj. Organizations and parents were encouraged to come and shop at the store in an inclusive and conducive environment. The Big Bazaar team was sensitized before the event and their enthusiasm was amazing to watch. With the engagement zone and calming area curated, the stage was all set for the day of the event. All 16 cities saw massive turnout on the day. Families whom judging eyes had kept from enjoying the simple act of shopping, were out in numbers with their stimming, skipping, spinning, happy children in tow. Many of those children were there with their own trolleys and shopping lists, checking the wares, selecting, and then paying at the check-out counters with the most supportive and patient Big Bazaar team. With Big Bazaar taking the first step towards inclusive shopping, we hope to create a new wave in retail in India.
